Today's Happiness

I need to be quick tonight sadly, but here is today's backlog...
Happy Moments: learning that I get Friday off, getting home earlier and being able to paint some of the table for my friend (picture) :)

Another Past few days... and new plan :)

Ok... so here are happy moments from the past few days :D
Christmas: opening presents (of course), spending time with E's family, going to Kelly's for a moment and seeing my nieces, going to Travis' for dinner with his family and playing games afterwards, getting home and sleeping in the next day
Sunday: Sleeping in, starting on E's table, playing with my kitties, talking to my family
Yesterday: Getting home from work and just chill-axing, hot bath, kitties, bed... lol

So the new plan is, since I occasionally don't have time during the work-day, to upload the day's happiness right before bed from now on :) thanks for understanding all!

Past few days

Sorry for the past few days of lacking posts.... So here is a barf up of happy moments:
Yesterday's christmas party at work, getting off work early, seeing travis, playing with E's kitties, watching movies, and hearing compliments about my window paintings :)

Bad Days

We all have bad days... and sometimes the feeling just overpowers us, and that is all we see of that day. That it is a "Bad Day".  On days like this it is so hard to see the Little Things that I am thankful for... so even though today is one of those days I HAVE smiled at least once if not more today.
Happy Moment: My "roomie" at work buying me a soda at the gas station and giving me encouragement to make it through the day... thanks Sue-bee!

Free Time

For those who don't know, I have been extremely busy lately! I've been painting windows, skateboard decks, bookshelves, making snowflakes, cleaning, helping friends, and just nuts! Well... tonight is the first night in a while where I can just go home...
Happy Moment: Realizing that I don't need to do anything for anyone/anything tonight and that I can just relaxify!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I have not felt like it was Christmas time at all this season. Not even after painting window, after window, after window with elves and snowmen and Santas... Mostly because my family is mostly out of state now. It also doesn't help that my presents to friends will be late or small. But the gusto with which some people get into the Holiday can't help but make me smile.
Happy Moment: My boss/coworker blasting "Santa Baby" first thing when she gets in lol :)

Epic Fail

When I get bored on occasion I will sometimes meander on over to the "Epic Fail" website. Seeing stupidity seems to cheer me up. Saturday Travis' car ran out of gas in downtown Salt Lake.
Happy Moment: Seeing my very own "Epic Fail" right by where we died :P

Cat Bath

So.... I have two young cats (Luna and little Pepper) that LOVE to get into trouble. So much so that the bathroom is off limits to them for several reasons. One being that the shred my shower curtains (I've been through 3 these past 6 months) and another because they will ignore their water and drink out of the toilet... They figured out how to lift the seat.
Happy Moment: Luna came bolting in while I was brushing my teeth, didn't realize the seat was up and jumped straight into the water.... She was gone just as fast, leaving a trail of water behind her :)

Page Views

So I started playing around with the design concept of my blog today :) and I am sorry for the Ads... I'm trying to get rid of the one right below... but it's being grumpy :S
But I digress.... I also added this nifty gadget below my followers showing how many pageviews my blog gets.
Happy Moment: I'm up to 81 views as of posting this :D yay for my little blog!

Busy Days

Even on days that we have a hard time finding something to be happy about there are little things that we should think of to be grateful for. Today is a hard day on me and I'm NOT in a happy mood due to life's stresses and the holidays, but...
Happy Moment: I've been so busy with work that I haven't had time to stop and reflect on why I'm unhappy today.

Singing in the Rain

Normally I don't like the show "Glee" ..... but this song just makes me smile and the dance would be SO fun to perform!!!

Weekend Happiness Up-Chuck

Since there is no internet at my apartment at the moment, the weekends will be uploaded on Mondays :) hope that doesn't disappoint any of my... 2 followers... lol.

Happy Moments Saturday:
Got to sleep in until 9 (usually have to wake up at 6 or 7)
Met with my personal trainer and got things rolling to fix my health
Went to the charity artshow I donated to, my skateboard deck sale price: $76
Travis got my art tablet up and running :D :D :D
Spent ALL day with Travis

Happy Moments Sunday:  
Slept in until 9 again :)
Watched several episodes of Star Trek the original series and MacGyver... :)
Huddled under my blanket, on top of the heater and practiced with my tablet
Got to talk to Travis (that generally happens daily, but not always on Sundays)

Alrighty... that looks about right for the weekend lol... thanks for putting up with my weekend overload!

Notary

A few months ago I became a public notary to help with some of my tasks at work.  Today I am notarizing some Reconveyances.
Happy Moment: It never gets old, the thought that my name is on an official recorded document :D lol... i know... i'm silly!

Skateboard Charity Auction

I was recently approached by a friend of mine whose coworker is part of a Charity that raises money for under-privileged kids. They get old/used skateboard equipment donated to them and they have local artists donate time to paint the boards to be auctioned off.

Happy Moment: Finishing my contribution to the Charity Auction that takes place tomorrow :D Above is my painted Skateboard deck :)

"Livin for the Weekend"

Some weeks just seem to take a long time... you know? No matter if the days themselves are good or seem to go by ok, the week occasionally just DRAGS.
Happy Moment: It's 5:00pm on Thursday, I get to see Travis and cook for him, AND.... it's only 1 more day till the weekend!!! :D :D

Life, or something like that

Sometimes life flies by so quickly that you scarcely have time to register it... For example: It's almost 2011!
Practically NONE of my resolutions for 2010 have been met, and only a few even started.
Happy Moment: I started the most important one (I got a personal trainer) that will affect the rest of my life and 2011 is a great year to do it in!

Work

I have been with the company I work for almost 2 years now.  There is a LOT to learn in the Title/Escrow Industry! It's not always easy to learn all the things that you need to, especially when you didn't even know the industry existed till you start in it :S
Happy Moment: Hearing that you did a good job and did it right on something that requires knowledge of verbage :D

Long Distance Relationships

I'm dating a wonderful man who lives roughly an hour's drive away (I know... not a HUGE distance, but when one of us doesn't have a car it is) and I generally only get to see him on most weekends or the occasional day that his work brings him nearby.
Happy Moment: Travis is working up here today and I get to see him tonight :) :)

Hot Chocolate and Heaters

This morning I got the opportunity to walk to work in the snow (work is roughly 5 miles away from home) and though my coat kept me MORE than warm, my boots sprung a leak a mile in and I was sloshing the rest of the way.
Happy Moment: Getting to work, turning on my space heater, and sipping down a fresh cup of hot chocolate... yum!

9-5

I had never had a 9-5 job until I started where I am now.... I've never been a morning person and I expect I will fight being one until the day I die. That being said, there are things about getting to work the so-called "normal" job that make it worth it.
Happy Moment: Getting to go home and still have enough day (hour-wise since it's stinkin winter and there is no such thing as sunlight) to cook dinner and do a few activities. (ok... a little bit of a happy moment and gripe at the same time.... I shall strive to do better)

Swedish Fish

Ok... so this HUGE bag of swedish fish has just been sitting on our breakroom table at work for several days (that is where we put things we want others to eat). I have been wanting them since they appeared, but being me... I HATE being the first to open something because I feel piggy!
Happy Moment: Walking into the breakroom to get my sandwich and seeing the bag opened... yay for dessert!!!

Pregnancy

My coworker is currently prego and due March 5th, and during the pregnancy I have learned FAR more than I may have wanted to lol.
Happy moment: NOT having worse heartburn, an aching back, random food cravings, and only being able to sleep on my sides. :)

Public Restrooms

For those who don't know, I have this fear of public toilets. Not just ones with multiple stalls... but ones at people's houses too, I just don't like to share toilets!
So... first little thing that made me smile today: Went into the restroom at work and found I am the first to use it after it being cleaned :) no potty germs!

Introduction

Life these days is so hectic, that we sometimes neglect to notice the little things that make us smile. Every day there is at LEAST one thing that makes us happy or smile, even if just for a moment. I recently came to the conclusion that I would like to look more positively at my life, and so... here is my blog! "All the Little Things" is just that. Little things throughout the day that make me smile or make me happy, no matter how long it lasts. Welcome to my point of view :)
